Depending on the paint’s condition and your goals, one-step or two-step correction may remove approximately 65% to 90% of visible defects. Some scratches may be too deep to remove safely.

Can New Vehicles Need Paint Correction?
Yes. Transportation, storage and dealership washing can leave a new vehicle with swirl marks, water spots, sanding marks or other paint defects before it reaches the owner.
A new vehicle does not automatically require two-step correction. We inspect the paint first and recommend only the level of polishing needed to achieve the desired finish.

How Long Does Paint Correction Last?
Paint correction permanently removes or reduces existing defects from the clear coat, but it does not prevent new swirl marks or scratches. How long the finish remains clear depends primarily on how the vehicle is washed and protected afterward.
Avoid automatic brush washes and use clean wash mitts, gentle products and soft drying towels. Applying a quality sealant or ceramic coating will add protection and make the corrected finish easier to maintain.
With proper care, the improved gloss and clarity can remain for years without needing frequent correction.
One-Step vs. Two-Step Paint Correction
One-Step Correction
One polishing stage is used to improve gloss and reduce lighter swirl marks, haze and minor defects. It is often suitable for newer vehicles or daily drivers with paint in relatively good condition.
Two-Step Correction
A cutting stage is followed by a refining polish to address more noticeable swirl marks, oxidation and paint defects. It requires more time but produces greater defect reduction and clarity.
We inspect the paint before recommending either option. The safest choice depends on the vehicle’s condition, clear-coat thickness and the result you want.
