Ozone treatment is one of the best ways to remove stubborn odors from your vehicle. It works by breaking down odor-causing particles trapped in fabric, carpet, and even the air vents—reaching places that regular cleaning can’t.
How well it works depends on two things: how long the odor has been there and how strong it is. If the smell has been lingering for years, it’ll take more time and effort to get rid of it completely.
For extreme cases, like heavy smoke or pet odors, ozone treatment can make a huge difference, but it may not remove everything 100%. In those situations, replacing materials like the headliner, carpet, or floor mats might be the only way to fully eliminate the smell.
Best Method To Remove Those Lingering Scents
If you’re dealing with tough odors, our ozone treatment is the perfect add-on to our Full Interior Detail. After we’ve thoroughly cleaned your vehicle, we’ll apply the ozone treatment, which only takes about 30 to 45 minutes to get the job done.
What’s great about ozone is that it doesn’t just mask the odor with a temporary fragrance—it actually breaks down the molecules causing the smell, leaving your car smelling fresh for the long term. Whether it’s smoke, pet smells, or anything else, ozone helps eliminate those stubborn scents
.
One thing to keep in mind is that we recommend swapping out your cabin air filter after the treatment. If you don’t replace it, any trapped odors can make their way back into the car once you turn on the AC.
It’s a quick, effective way to make sure your car stays smelling great after your interior cleaning!

The Everest Ozone Odour Removal Process
1️⃣ Remove Loose Items: First, we clear out personal items and vacuum the interior to eliminate dirt and debris that could trap odors.
2️⃣ Deep Interior Cleaning (Required Service): Ozone treatment must be paired with an interior detailing service to remove the sources of odors, like spills and stains. This ensures the ozone can work effectively.
3️⃣ Dry & Air Out the Interior:We make sure the interior is as dry as possible before starting the ozone treatment. Moisture can react with ozone, so we want to avoid any unwanted smells.
4️⃣ Ozone Treatment Application: The ozone generator is placed inside your vehicle and runs for 30 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on how severe the odor is. The ozone gas circulates through the interior, breaking down odor-causing molecules.
5️⃣ Ventilation & Air Purging: After treatment, we air out the vehicle to remove any lingering ozone gas. This step is crucial for safety and leaves your car smelling fresh.
6️⃣ Final Inspection & Odor Assessment: We do a final check to make sure the odor has been significantly reduced. If further treatment is needed, we’ll let you know the next steps.
